This Smoked Bacon, Labneh and Seasme Galette is bursting with flavour. The base of this tart is a light and crisp shortcrust pastry. Next it is filled with labneh flavoured with lemon and mint. Then it is topped with a mixture of smoked bacon, onions and garlic. The edges of the pastry are folded in brushed with egg wash and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Labneh is cheese made from strained yogurt where the whey is removed. I have flavoured this with lemon zest and mint. It has a similar texture to cream cheese but with a tangy flavour.

Warm in oven at 170 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes
